Courses in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts fulfill every part of our mission as educators. They reach each of the 16 Habits of Mind, and help students to think critically through cognitive, metacognitive, social-emotional, and motor skill development. We do this while concurrently improving the aesthetic quality of the world around us. We live in an artful society and arts education is vital for advancement of our people.

Keeping Track...
Events come and go - we have taken advantage of available technology to ensure they can last a lifetime.  We now have a vast repository of video and photographic archives - for each concert, production, and art show that has taken place since I became the department supervisor.  Teachers (including those from around the country) use these as teaching tools.  Thanks to a dedicated team, video is often available for students to reflect and assess the very next day.

The reach that the video channel has is impressive.
